Elmira Belle “Mira” Huckaby was born on July 6, 1902, in Maury County, TN, to John Wesley Huckaby and Nannie Belle Sanders. She had four siblings. Their names were Nannie Grace “Grace” (Huckaby) Van Hooser, William Overton Huckaby, Martin Wesley Huckaby, and Henry Huckaby.

Sometime between 1920 and 1930, Mira married Willard Fred Watson. They had two children, and their names were Grace Elizabeth (Watson) Crump and William Fred “Bill” Watson.

Today, at 5310 Main Street, in Spring Hill, TN, stands a Verizon store, but many years ago, in the 1940’s-1950’s-1960’s etc., it was a Café ran by Mira. Mira’s Café was loved by many people in the then small city of Spring Hill, but at times, disaster happened near or to the Café. In 1963, a tornado came through Spring Hill, TN and went almost directly over the Café, and before that, two fires burned near/at the building, but the Café still ran as a business. In the 1980’s, the building was no longer the Café, but the Cedar Inn Restaurant.

Sadly, on January 30, 1991, in TN, Mira died. She was buried in Neapolis Cemetery, in Carters Creek, Maury County, TN. Nobody that went to Mira’s Café will ever forget Mira and her work there at the Café.
