Kenneth Ray “Ray” Williams was born on January 22, 1957, in Nashville, Davidson County, TN, to Harold Kenneth “Ken” Williams and Agnes Mae Lawson.
On June 4, 1976, in Maury County, TN, Ray married Cindy Cathey. They had one daughter, and her name is Tiffany (Williams) Newby.
In the early 2000’s, Ray was the 26th mayor of Spring Hill, TN. He served two terms in a row and was one of the best defenders of the town of Spring Hill, TN when there was less than 7,000 people who lived there, according to what the Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce wrote in 2019. In his obituary, it lists Ray as also being a state licensed builder/developer, beef cattle producer, and co-owner of the Spring Hill Mini-Warehouses.
Sadly, on January 24, 2005, right as his second term as mayor was ending, Ray died of a terrible heart attack. His vice mayor, Brandon McCulloch, became the next mayor of Spring Hill, TN. Today, Ray has a road named after him, Ray Williams Drive, in his honor.
