Blog no. 12 (Revised)
William Henry Kinnard was born on March 29, 1900, in Alabama, to David Cannon Kinnard and Edith Estella Whitehead. He was the brother of Marvin Cecil Kinnard, Mary Gladys (Kinnard) Watson, and David Cannon Kinnard, Jr.
On December 24, 1924, in Maury County, TN, William married Nell Louise Dalton. William and Nell had 3 children. Their names were Bobbie, Barbara, and Billy.
The Kinnard’s were and are a notable family of Spring Hill, TN. William was a carpenter/farmer, a cousin of theirs, Thomas Jefferson “Tom” Kinnard ran a drugstore on Main Street, and William’s son, Billy, was a city alderman and firefighter for the city many years ago. The family all had their part in the city of Spring Hill, TN.
As I mentioned before, William had a brother named Marvin Cecil Kinnard. He was another loved citizen of Spring Hill, TN. Marvin and William were two of the last elders of the Spring Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church along with G.W. Bowman.
Sadly, on February 22, 1980, in Spring Hill, TN William died. He was buried at the Spring Hill Cemetery in Spring Hill, TN beside his wife who had died in 1964.
